The developer's dated 2024 review confirms completion of the 43.2 MW Broken Cross wind farm. Its current project page explains that geotechnical constraints reduced the as-built project from ten planned turbines / 48 MW to nine turbines / 43.2 MW and that it became operational in Q2 2024. BROCW-1 is the sole mapped BMU. Evidence starts after the dated completion confirmation rather than inferring a day within Q2; the 48 MW registry and REPD design values remain separate.

Operator capacity sourceWhole-site registered total: 48 MW, including retired units.
Registered capacity is the value retained in the committed BM-unit source snapshot. “Not retained” means the registry no longer supplied a positive figure; it does not mean the unit historically had no capacity. If a unit with a retirement event publishes a non-zero live declaration, the live declaration keeps it in the operating fleet pending review.
About this asset
Broken Cross is a operating wind site in South Scotland. It has 1 non-retired (0 unverified) and 0 retired mapped Balancing Mechanism unit, with 43 MW on the displayed capacity basis.
The source catalogue has no site coordinate, so the explorer shows a regional position rather than an exact location.
Current output is the operator’s declared Physical Notification. Metered output is published later and is shown as the solid portion of the history chart; outage shading comes from REMIT notices.
